Best ear treatment: Zymox Otic with Hydrocortisone (Pet King)
This is a miracle worker for dogs with chronic ear infections and yeasty ears. I have used this on my dogs, and have recommended to friends with fantastic results. I've tried mild vinegar solutions, chlorhexadine from the vet, hydrogen peroxide and NOTHING works better or faster. It's expensive, but worth every penny.
Best dog soap: Healthy Dog Skin and Coat Shampoo (Herbaria Soap)
I have been using this handmade bar soap on my dogs for years. It contains no lyes, no detergents, perfumes, and will not dry out your dog's fur or skin. I wash my dogs at least once a week, and more often if they roll in something disgusting in the park. I've tried many dog shampoos, and this one is the most effective and gentle at the same time. This soap doesn't create too many suds, rinses clean, and doesn't cause any irritation.  The $6 bar also lasts a lot longer than any bottle of liquid soap I've tried, and I buy it in bulk! The entire list of ingredients: saponified olive and/or rice bran oil, palm kernel oil, soy oil; glycerin; cedarwood; jojoba oil; essential oils (lavender, lemon eucalyptus, peppermint, rose geranium); neem oil. (FYI, Herbaria's human soaps are awesome too!)

Best dog coat: Great White North Winter Coat (Chilly Dogs)
I can't say enough great things about this coat. It was created to keep the dog's core warm, which is key, because dogs aren't happy when their bellies get cold! My dog is half whippet and is hard to fit because she has a long neck and body. Chilly Dogs makes a "whippet only" size with an extra long fleece neck, but they make regular dog sizes too. The jacket windproof, waterproof, adjustable, machine washable and fleece lined. These are made in Canada by a very nice person who actually answers the phone if you call to order.

Best dog ID tag: CollarTag (Boomerang Tags)

The CollarTag slides onto your dog's collar, and is unconditionally guaranteed. I personally hate the sound of jingling tags, so these are great because they make no noise! It is made out of bent stainless steel, and the engraving is of the highest quality. The company also makes the best plastic and stainless steel regular ID tags. The CollarTag is $10.20, the plastic and stainless steel tags are $9.20, and they all ship for free.

Best natural dog chew:  Antlers (Antler Pantry)

Antlers are the best chew I've ever found for my hard chewing dogs. Deer, elk and moose naturally shed their antlers and they are then foraged in the woods by the vendor. They don't smell, don't splinter, aren't greasy and last forever. I don't buy antlers in a pet store because they are small and ridiculously expensive.  I found a website that sells antlers at a fantastic price and you can buy them split with the marrow exposed, or whole. I've found that my dogs love both, but the whole ones last longer. I have an antler in every room of my apartment.

    Best dog insurance:  Trupanion

I've had several insurance policies for my dogs, and Trupanion is the best out of all of them. 90% reimbursement with no cap or payout limits. When your vet bill is in thousands, it makes all the difference.
